I’m Kris Dunn, owner, operator, and your friendly neighborhood flooring guy behind Floating Floors to Flying Rugs, a full Service and insured new flooring installation and finish carpentry company.

I’ve been in the flooring industry since the ‘90s, and I’ve done it all—from demo days and warehouse logistics to project management, product selection, and hands-on installation. I’ve worked with elite manufacturers and trusted local merchants, and many floor contractors and I know which products stand the test of time (and foot traffic). I’ve done quality control, fixed bad installs, and learned one universal truth: a flawless floor starts with solid prep.
That’s why I’ll help you every step of the way—from choosing materials to leveling subfloors, scheduling installs, and making sure every detail is covered. I’ve got over two decades of experience, a spotless BBB record, and a passion for doing things right the first time.
